Some dogs want to run. Some dogs need space. We built this for both.
Not every dog park is for every dog. Crowds. Unpredictable dogs. Constant stimulation. For many dogs—and their people—that’s not freedom. That’s stress.

Satchel's Place has changed!
We've changed from a 501c3 organization to a private LLC. Our mission remains the same; to provide a safe place to play for pups and their families and to help our less fortunate doggy friends.
The Needs of the Individual
In today's era of tiny yards and "dogs must be leashed" rules, finding a place to let your best friend shed his leash and romp like a real dog is getting harder.
Public dog parks may draw aggressive or uncontrolled dogs, putting your dog in danger. As a trainer for over 30 years, I am all too familiar with untrained dogs causing problems for other, well trained dogs.
Unkempt public dog parks can be muddy, sandy or even soiled when other owners don't clean up
The Bridge
Satchel's Place is a private dog recreation area,
partially wooded so your play will be in shade. Not your ordinary dog park!
As a private membership facility, we offer the ability to schedule an individual time for single dog exploration or fun for the whole pack! Ask about scheduling group activities.
The Needs of the Community
Proceeds from Satchel's place will help local animal welfare agencies provide services for animals in the most need.
Partnering with other non-profit agencies allows Satchel's Place the opportunity to help provide food, shelter, medical care, or new homes to our furry friends.
We also serve as a "living laboratory", researching the human/animal bond and its effect on human mental health and animal behavior.
