Seeking?

Looking for a shady place where you and your dog can safely stretch your legs close to nature?

A place to sniff and run free?

Problems?

Tired of tiny, muddy dog parks with uncontrolled dogs?

Frustrated with "dog-friendly" beaches, parks, and trails that require a 6-foot leash at all times?

Yes!

So was Satch!

That's why we created Satchel's Place, a private dog recreation area where you and your best friend can reserve time alone to run, play, fetch, or do some serious work.

Located on over 3 acres in rural, Hernando County, it's an easy drive from Dade City, Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, San Antonia, Ridge Manor, Tampa, Orla

We are a "living laboratory"!

Satchel's Place serves as a research site for the human/animal bond, seeking to understand the effect of pets on social, mental, and physical health, and the effect of human interaction on pet behavior and well-being.

Guest fees go to help dogs like these.

Choco

Abandoned and starved, Choco could barely walk or stand when rescued. He was not expected to survive.

Look at him now

Rescued and fostered, Choco received medical care, love, and stability.

Living his best life!

Coco

Tied by her neck to a tree limb above her, Coco could not lie down or get to water. She was starved and dehydrated when rescued

Fostered!

Abused all her life by humans, Coco finds it in her heart to love us again

Adopted!

Finding peace.

Alexander

Viscously stabbed while defending his owner from an attack,  his owner could not afford to try to save him

Two surgeries were necessary

Alexander did not survive

Hopefully, our donation provided excellent end of life care and eased his owner's financial burden
